Seerah of Prophet (PBUH) provides guidance for every aspect of life: Mirwaiz
Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat Conference senior leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has expressed delight at the remarkable participation of children in a grand Seerah competition held at the historic Jamia Masjid in Srinagar.
According to Kashmir Media Service, approximately 2,800 students from various madrasas (religious schools) across different districts took part in the event.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, while speaking to media representatives at the event, remarked that seeing the Jamia Masjid filled with young children—enthusiastic to learn about the blessed life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH)—was a beautiful and heart-warming sight.
Commending the efforts of madrasa Maseeh-ul-Ummat in organizing the programme, in collaboration with the Mirwaiz Foundation, he stated that such initiatives play a vital role in connecting the new generation with the universal and timeless message of the Prophet of Islam, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH)—a message that embodies faith, mercy, compassion, noble character, and service to humanity.
Mirwaiz noted that at a time when our children and youth are facing various social, emotional, and moral challenges, it is crucial to maintain a strong connection with the Seerah of the Prophet (PBUH), as it offers guidance for every sphere of life.
He emphasized that the well-being of children should be central to the education system; children require time not only for academics but also for rest, spending time with their families, playing, and growing up in a healthy, balanced environment. Children’s mental health and overall well-being should be placed at the heart of the education system.
Congratulating all the children, teachers, parents, and organizers who participated in the Seerat competition, Mirwaiz prayed that such activities would continue in the future and serve as a means to foster knowledge, exemplary character, and a deep understanding of Islamic teachings among the new generation.
