Several houses gutted in south Kashmir fire incident
Srinagar: At least nine residential houses were damaged in a fire incident in South Kashmir’s Islamabad district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, today, rendering several families shelterless.
An official said that the fire broke out at the Boat Colony in Khanabal area of the district and engulfed several houses.
He said that the fire was brought under control, however, not before it caused partial damage to several residential houses. He said the houses belong to Abdul Ghani Wani, Muhammad Ashraf Pushu, Sajjad Wani, Mushtaq Handroo, Nisar Ahmed Gadda, Baby Jan, Mukhtar Ahmed Guru and Javaid Ahmed Shaksaaz.
Reports said that as many as thirteen families lost their shelter due to the fire incident.
Meanwhile, police said they have taken cognizance of the incident and started an investigation in this regard.
