Hindutva BJP regime crosses all limits of atrocities in IIOJK
Srinagar: The Hindutva BJP/RSS regime and their establishment in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir have crossed all limits of atrocities and state terrorism in the territory, making the lives of its people a living hell.
An analytical report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, today, said that gross human rights violations including atrocities, arrests, cordon and search operations, house raids, snatching of property and terminating employees by Indian forces’ personnel and its notorious probe agencies like the National Investigation Agency and State Investigation Agency had become a norm in the occupied territory.
The fresh wave of horror and atrocities by Indian troops and its dreaded agencies had increased the miseries of innocent Kashmiris who were already suffering immensely due to the unrelenting military and police siege imposed by Hindutva BJP government of India led by Narendra Modi and Amit Shah.
It pointed out that the troops martyred 2152 Kashmiris including 305 extra-judicially (in custody and fake encounters) since 2015 when BJP regime was imposed in IIOJK. Referring to the torture and killing of three innocent Kashmiris in Indian army’s custody in Surankote area of Poonch in Dec 2023, the report said such harsh treatment confirms that India is continuing with its strong arm tactics to intimidate the Kashmiris into submission.
The report maintained that amid the fast deteriorating political and human rights situation in IIOJK, the rising tide of premeditated and politically motivated violence against the Kashmiris by Indian forces’ personnel amounts to war crimes. It pointed out that arbitrary detentions continue, public assembly is still prohibited under Section 144 and hundreds including minors and women remain under illegal detention.
The report also said that there is a near-total alienation of the people of the Kashmir Valley and Muslim dominated areas of Jammu region from the Hindutva BJP government. The report said that that even people of other faiths are raising their concerns over economic losses and looting of local resources, adding the imposition of brutal laws relating to domicile, delimitation, media and land increasing their anger towards the Modi led regime.
The report said that unending stories of tragedy and trauma were surfacing every other day in IIOJK. However, the report pointed out that that despite using all its resources during the last over seven decades India has miserably failed to suppress the Kashmiris’ freedom sentiments and they are determined to continue their resistance against its illegal occupation.
