Srinagar: Residents of Baramulla district in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir are expressing frustration over the consistently poor cellular network in the territory.
According to Kashmir Media Service, subscribers in the area encounter severe disruptions, especially during rainfall or snowfall, rendering the network virtually unusable. This poses significant challenges for students attending online classes, patients seeking remote medical advice, and employees relying on telecommuting, as the unreliable network severely impacts communication and access to essential services during critical times.
Despite lodging complaints with officials, residents assert that their grievances remain unaddressed. The persistent issues faced by residents of Gantmulla Bala village underscore broader challenges with internet and communication services in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir.
In recent years, the Indian government has frequently imposed internet shutdowns in the territory, particularly in the Kashmir Valley, citing security reasons.
