Kashmiris will never fall into Modi’s cunning trap: Ali Raza Syed
Brussels: The Chairman of Kashmir Council Europe (KCEU), Ali Raza Syed, has said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to trap Kashmiris in his deceitful political net but they will never fall in this cunning trap.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Ali Raza Syed in a statement issued in Brussels on Modi’s recent visit to Srinagar said Kashmiris know that on one hand, the Modi government wants to trap Kashmiris by pretending to give false privileges and, on the other, the reality is that Indian has usurped the fundamental rights including right to self-determination of Kashmiris.
Modi’s visit to Srinagar, he said, is a conspiracy against Kashmiris’ right to self-determination, adding the drama of Modi’s visit to Srinagar has been staged to show the world that all is well in the occupied territory.
He said people were tricked or forcibly brought to Modi’s rally in bitter cold. The people, he said, brought to the fabricated public meeting did not know for what purpose they were brought. In reality, India is illegally occupying Kashmir, and the Indian Army continues to occupy Kashmir at gunpoint.
He said for the last seven and a half decades, Kashmiris have been suffering from atrocities committed by the Indian forces and India has illegally occupied their land. Now, since 2019, he added, India has taken occupied Kashmir under the direct control of the center with the aim of crushing the struggle of Kashmiris for their right to self-determination.
Ali Raza Syed said, large scale protests in Srinagar and other parts of occupied Kashmir on Modi’s visit to occupied Kashmir on Thursday show that people of Kashmir don’t accept continuity of Indian occupation of their beloved homeland.
Ali Raza Syed also condemned the arrest of hundreds of Kashmiri youths during the crackdowns and raids by the Indian army and police in Srinagar and other districts of the Kashmir valley ahead of Modi’s visit and called for the immediate release of the detainees.
It is important to mention that posters appeared in Srinagar and other parts of occupied Jammu and Kashmir against Modi’s visit to Srinagar on Thursday.
