CAA only serves to legitimise Islamophobia: Tamil Nadu CM Stalin
Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has said that the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) only served to legitimise Islamophobia and urged unity in crushing the communal fascism of the BJP regime.
According to Kashmir Media Service, MK Stalin in a message posted on X said, “Since 2014, the BJP Government’s reign has torn apart India’s secular fabric, fostering intolerance and endorsing discrimination against our Muslim community. Their implementation of unconstitutional acts like CAA only serves to legitimise Islamophobia”.
Stalin, who heads Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, further said, “Let’s unite to crush the communal fascism of the BJP regime and rescue India’s diverse spirit from their grip,” the DMK chief posted on X.
The DMK chief also shared a collage of news reports documenting hate speeches delivered by BJP and Hindutva leaders, instances of Hindutva mob lynching of Muslims, and fabricated cases leading to the incarceration of Muslim activists.
