Hindu goons torch Masjid, injure 12 Muslims in Rajasthan
Jaipur: A Hindu mob torched a mosque and injured about 12 people besides setting on fire property in Chittorgarh area of Rajasthan.
According to Kashmir Media Service, a rally of Hindu goons while passing a Masjid set it on fire and indulged in violence against the Muslims in Chittorgarh.
Preliminary reports reveal that 12 people have sustained injuries during the incident. Reportedly, several shops and bikes had also been burned.
According to reports, the issue arose when a Hindu procession, beating drums, went near by a Masjid where prayers were being offered. After this, some people objected to the noise made by the procession’s drums, and the disagreement quickly escalated the confrontation, the media reported.
A video of the incident was posted on social media wherein the Muslims inside the mosque can be seen in panic as fire erupts outside the holy place.
