Victimized for celebrating Eid with Pakistan: No official holiday on Eid-ul-Fitr in IIOJK
Srinagar: Unnerved by the Kashmiris’ observance of Eid-ul-Fitr with their Pakistani brethren, the Modi government has stooped so low that it did not issue any order for a government holiday in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir on account of the auspicious day, today.
According to Kashmir Media Service, this has happened for the first time that the Kashmiri employees had to go to their offices even on Eid. Notably, in India the festival will be celebrated tomorrow.
Pertinently, Kashmiri religious scholars, including Grand Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam, announced the observance of Eid-ul-Fitr across the occupied territory following the announcement by Pakistan’s Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee about sighting the Shawwal moon, last night. The tradition of celebrating Eid alongside Pakistan underscores the deep cultural and religious ties between the people of Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan.
