Agha Moosvi expresses concern over denial of official holiday to IIOJK employees on Eid
Sympathizes with Hamas leader Haniyah over tragic loss of kin in Israeli attack
Srinagar: Senior All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi has raised serious concern over the Narendra Modi led Indian regime’s decision of not declaring holiday on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr on Wednesday.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Modi government did not issue any order for a government holiday in IIOJK on Wednesday despite the Kashmiri religious scholars, including Grand Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam, announcing the observance of Eid-ul-Fitr on that day. The only reason that the Kashmiri employees were denied holiday on Eid was that the Kashmiris observed the day with their Pakistani brethren. This also underscored Modi’s deep-seated hatred towards Muslims.
Addressing a gathering in Budgam, Agha Moosvi said that the failure of the BJP regime to declare holiday for Eid-ul-Fitr despite the traditional celebration falling on Wednesday had sparked concerns among employees in IIOJK.
He said that the government employees were left perplexed and distressed as they were marked absent from work on April 10 (Wednesday). He highlighted the need to address the mounting distress among the workforce due to this anti-people measure.
Meanwhile, the senior APHC leader also expressed deep grief over the martyrdom of number of sons and grandchildren of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in a horrific Israeli attack in Gaza. He said that this barbaric action sent shockwaves across IIOJK, emphasizing the devastating impact of losing children for their fathers.
