BJP has only falsehood against us: Farooq Abdullah

Srinagar: The President of National Conference, Farooq Abdullah, has said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has nothing concrete against us and the saffron party is using falsehood to hoodwink people.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Farooq Abdullah talking to reporters in Srinagar said INDIA alliance will win all six seats in occupied Jammu and Kashmir in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

“We are chosen through elections, not through dynasties. If an industrialist makes his son an industrialist he doesn’t have to get votes, but we have to seek votes and get elected and it’s up to the people if they reject or accept us,” Farooq Abdullah said.

“I assure you INDIA bloc will emerge victorious and whoever becomes the new PM everything that has been done by the BJP government will be turned back. If the PM is announcing statehood in Udhampur why can’t he give it right now, why is he delaying it,” he said.

Meanwhile, NC leader Omar Abdullah in a media interview said the Indian Supreme Court upholding the abrogation of Article 370 does not close the issue and his party will keep it alive. “This government will not remain forever. There is no power on earth that can keep Prime Minister (Narendra) Modi in office in perpetuity, there is no power on earth that can keep the BJP in office forever. Every government has a finite term, some are longer, some are shorter. Why would you assume that no government will come in future that will be unwilling to talk to us on Article 370.”

Omar Abdullah, who is contesting the Lok Sabha polls from Baramulla constituency, said the Supreme Court verdict on petitions challenging abrogation of the Article 370 was unfortunate.

“I would like to believe that there will be a government in the future that will be happy to engage with us on our core issues of the special status of IIOJK and until that comes, we will keep our struggle alive,” he said.
