‘At least one girl expected’; IIOJK UPSC rank holder Seerat Baji warmly welcomed
Jammu: The UPSC rank holder, Seerat Baji received a warm welcome at her home in Rajouri, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) on Monday after she secured an All India Rank (AIR) of 516 in the UPSC CSE 2023 examinations.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Seerat, a girl hailing from the remote village of Kanthol Rajouri, about 70 kilometres from Rajouri, has cracked the examination in her second attempt.
The UPSC rank holder said that a lot of girls are now coming forward from the area and performing well in every field. She also said that every time the toppers list is out, at least one girl from the region is expected to make it on the list.
“A lot of girls are coming forward from here… They are performing very well in every field. In the last few years it has been seen that every year, whenever the list is out, it is expected that there would be at least one girl from this area,” she said while talking to local media after reaching home.
