Modi regime targets confiscation of Mirwaiz’s land & house in fake case
Mirwaiz's clear position on Kashmir primary reason for case registration
Srinagar: The Narendra Modi-led Indian regime has targeted senior APHC leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and some local bureaucracy members in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir by booking them in a fake case of encroaching Custodian land in Srinagar..
According to Kashmir Media Service, the FIR states that if the charges against Mirwaiz are proven, the compromised judiciary will confiscate the land and house in which he resides.
The so-called preliminary inquiry by the Anti-Corruption Bureau says that a lady, Dil Rafiqa, was “unlawfully granted evacuee land by the Custodian Department without proper government sanction and an open auction, violating established provisions.”
The FIR further details the allocation of land to several individuals, including Dil Rafiqa, in violation of rules, involving 07 Kanal 19 Marlas 97 sqft of land. Local officers from the Custodian and Revenue Departments have also been implicated in the case, possibly to advance the Hindutva agenda in the occupied territory.
Consequently, a case has been registered at a Srinagar police station, with the investigation assigned to a DySP rank officer.
It is believed by observers that Mirwaiz Umar Farooq’s refusal to cooperate with the BJP in the ongoing sham elections and his clear stance on the Kashmir dispute are the primary reasons for the registration of the false case against him. Additionally, they argue that New Delhi aims to purge IIOJK’s bureaucracy of locals to further its Hindutva agenda in the occupied.
Meanwhile, APHC-AJK Convener Mehmood Ahmad Saghar in a statement issued in Islamabad termed the registration of the case against Mirwaiz as baseless, stating that it is an attempt by the BJP regime to defame the ongoing freedom struggle and its leadership.
