Indian troops kill two youth in Chhattisgarh
Raipur: Indian forces’ personnel killed two youth in violence-hit Chhattisgarh state.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the two youth were killed by the Indian forces’ personnel during a cordon and search operation in forested area of Koranjed-Bandepara under the jurisdiction of Madded police station in Bjiapur district.
Indian police claimed they killed two Maoists, identifying the deceased as divisional committee member Manila Poonem, and Manglu Kudiam.
Bijapur SP Jitendra Kumar Yadav said: “Bodies of the two Maoists were found during search operations”.
These two deaths of Maoists have taken the death toll this year to 118, said Indian police.
The Maoists are demanding independence from Indian hegemony.
