No single Muslim included in Modi’s cabinet
New Delhi: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again shown his bias against Muslims by excluding them from his cabinet.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Indian media reports that the new government, comprising 30 ministers and 41 ministers of state, does not include a single Muslim.
The first cabinet meeting will take place this evening, and the Cabinet will request the Indian President to convene a parliamentary session soon. Analysts believe that building consensus on controversial political issues will be a challenge for the Modi government, given the strong opposition.
Yesterday, Narendra Modi took oath as Prime Minister for the third consecutive time, with President Draupadi Murmu administering the oath.
Muslims, who make up upto 18 % of India’s population, face disadvantages in all aspects of life, including education. During Modi’s previous term, scholarships for Muslim students were also abolished.
