The victim hails from Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut, who was working as a street vendor. He has narrated his ordeal in a video that went viral on social media.

“The terrorists from the Bajrang Dal and Shiv Sena beat me up. The workers of the BJP also were part of the group. They beat me up for no reason when I was going around selling clothes. They asked me to show my aadhar card and permission letter. I complied. Still, they beat me up,” Qureshi can be seen narrating in the video.

He was taken in a vehicle and beaten up in a closed shop by 10-15 people and looted his money, including his clothes and other stuff meant for selling.

According to Qureshi, he was compelled to chant Jai Shri Ram and they kept thrashing him till his hand got fractured and ribs broken
