Country seeks answers: Opposition grills Modi-Shah over silence on IIOJK attacks
New Delhi: Opposition parties grilled Indian Prime Minister Modi amid Indian Home Minister Amit Shah over the attacks in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) saying the meaningful silence on the part of NJP leadership is indicating something like past Pulwama attack.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray has said that the Prime Minister is incapable of handling situations like Manipur and Kashmir. “If Modi can’t handle it, then he has no right to be the prime minister for a third term.”
In a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP over three attacks in IIOJK in as many days, he said and accused him of ignoring pressing issues to join victory celebrations.
He claimed that the BJP’s chest-thumping and “hollow” claims of the return of peace and normalcy in Jammu and Kashmir have been thoroughly exposed by the three terror attacks in the region in the past three days.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi accused Modi of being busy in celebrating his victory instead of addressing prevailing issues. In a post on his official handle on X, he wrote, “Narendra Modi is busy responding to congratulatory messages and cannot even hear the cries of the families of the devotees who were brutally killed in IIOJK.”
“There have been three separate incidents in Reasi, Kathua, and Doda in the last three days, but the Prime Minister is still busy celebrating… The country is demanding answers – why are those plotting terrorist attacks not caught under the BJP government?” he asked.
