India planning to invoke ‘Enemies Agent Act’ to arrest Kashmiris for 5 years
Srinagar: India is planning to invoke the draconian called the “Enemies Agents Act” to arrest and prosecute the Kashmiri people on concocted charges in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, this law allows for up to 5 years of imprisonment for those awarded sentence by the Modi regime’s pliant judiciary.
Under the law, Indian police will arrest innocent youth after declaring them sympathisers and overground workers (OGWs) in the occupied territory.
The Enemies Agents Act, which was last invoked in the 1970s.
As per the police, the decision to invoke the Enemies Agents Act comes in the wake of the surge in the pro-freedom activities in the Valley, particularly in the Shopian and Pulwama districts.
