No road connectivity, patient carried on shoulder to hospital in Doda
Jammu: In a shocking incident, a patient was carried all the way to hospital on shoulders in Doda district of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the locals covered several kilometers with a patient on their shoulders exposing the absence of basic facilities during emergency situations in Tanta Draman village of the mountainous Doda district.
Tanta Draman area still has no road connectivity and as a routine matter people of the village travel long distances on foot.
“Providing basic facilities like road connectivity should be the foremost priority of the Government especially in this age of Digital India,” a local said.
Another local informed that the road from Tanta to Draman was sanctioned in early 2019 through PWD (R&B) while after abrogation, the area is facing brutal injustice by the Bharatiya Janata Party regime..
“Total distance of the sanctioned road was six km from Wani Pura to Draman but till now only three km of earth-cutting has been done by the contractor whereas the balance work of construction is still awaited,” he lamented.
