Indian troops martyred 33 Kashmiris during last 6 months in IIOJK: Report

Islamabad): Indian troops in their unabated acts of state terrorism martyred 33 Kashmiris from January to June this year in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to a Kashmir Media Service report, 16 youth were martyred in fake encounters or in custody by Indian forces personnel.

As many as 2,589 people, including Hurriyat leader Firdous Ahmed Shah and former president of occupied Kashmir High Court Bar Association Mian Abdul Qayoom, were arrested during the past six months.

The troops destroyed at least six houses and structures by using chemical substances during cordon and search operations.

The report highlighted that congregational Friday prayers on Jumat-ul-Wida and Eid prayers were also not allowed in the historic Jamia Masjid as well as Eidgah in Srinagar.

Thousands of Kashmiris, including Hurriyat leaders and activists, including Masarat Alam Butt, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Aasiya Andrabi, Naheeda Nasreen, Fehmeeda Sufi, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Ayaz Akbar, Pir Saifullah, Merajuddin Kalwal, Shahid-ul-Islam, Farooq Ahmed Dar, Syed Shahid Yousuf Shah, Syed Shakeel Yousuf Shah, Bilal Siddiqi, Molvi Bashir Irfani, Ameer Hamza, Dr Hameed Fayaz, Abdul Ahmad Parra, Noor Muhammad Fayaz, Hayat Ahmed Butt, Zafar Akbar Butt, Muhammad Yousuf Falahi, Dr Muhammad Qasim Fakhtoo, Dr Muhammad Shafi Shariati, Ghulam Qadir Butt, Rafiq Ahmad Ganai, Zahoor Ahmed Butt, Umar Adil Dar, Saleem Nanaji, Muhammad Yasin Butt, Fayaz Hussain Jaferi, Adil Siraj Zargar, Dawood Zargar, Aijaz Ahmed Shaikh, Sarjan Barkati, human rights defender Khurram Parvaiz, journalists, Irfan Majeed and Sajad Ahmad Dar have been lodged in different jails of India and the occupied territory.. Most of them have been put behind the bars in far-flung jails in India.
