Body of drowned youth retrieved from Jhelum River in IIOJK
Srinagar: The body of a youth, who drowned in the Jhelum River while taking a bath in the Hajin area of Bandipora district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), has been retrieved.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the local media reports confirmed that the incident occurred near Jamia at Hajin, Bandipora on Thursday. The youth was identified as Nadeem Ahmad (19), a resident of Mir Mohalla Hajin.
Reportedly, a rescue operation was started soon after the drowning incident, resulting in the retrieval of the body today.
Indian police have started an investigation into the incident.
