Mirwaiz criticizes IIOJK authorities for its negligence regarding erratic power supply
Srinagar: Senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has criticized the occupied Jammu and Kashmir authorities for its negligence regarding the erratic power supply during the hot weather.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq addressing the congregation at the historic Jamia Masjid in Srinagar pointed out that during the winter months, the public faced many issues due to severe power shortages. Now, with the intense heat, the government appears indifferent to its responsibilities in ensuring the supply of essential services like water and electricity, in spite of a hike in tariff , he lamented.
He urged the Muslims of Kashmir to engage in self-reflection, considering whether their actions displeasing to Allah might be the cause of the severe trials they are facing.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, amid heartfelt prayers for rain, noted that the people have endured severe hardships and trials over the past year.
He added that with the month of Muharram approaching, it is the administration’s responsibility to ensure the provision of electricity , water and other essential items to the people
