Indian CRPF constable commits suicide in Ajmer

Jaipur: An Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) constable committed suicide in Rajasthan state.

According to Kashmir Media Service, CRPF constable Amarjit Singh committed suicide by hanging himself from a fan in his quarters in Ajmer district. The reason for this tragic incident is yet to be ascertained, police said.

Upon receiving information, CRPF officers and a team from Ganj police station arrived at the scene. The police took custody of the body and transferred it to the mortuary at JLN Hospital. After conducting a post-mortem, the body was handed over to his family members.

Ganj police station in-charge Mahavir Singh stated that constable Amarjit Singh, posted at CRPF GC-2 on Foy Sagar Road, allegedly died by suicide. He hailed from Manipur state.

Although the exact reason for the suicide has not been determined, the incident has triggered panic at the CRPF Group Centre 1 and 2 in Ajmer.
