SIA arrests Kashmiri on false charges in Srinagar raid
Troops launch massive search ops in Kathua, Rajouri, Poonch districts
Srinagar: The New Delhi-controlled State Investigation Agency (SIA) has arrested a person in Srinagar city of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the SIA, along with Indian forces’ personnel, conducted a house raid and arrested Ahmad Ulla Malla in the Dalal Mohalla area of the city on fake charges related to a case registered against him in Police Station Tarzoo Sopore in Baramulla district in 2013.
The case involves the killing of four policemen in an ambush at Peer Mohalla Hygam Sopore in April 2013. Initially registered in Police Station Tarzoo, the investigation was conducted by Sopore Police before being transferred to the SIA for specialized investigation earlier this year, according to an SIA statement.
Meanwhile, SIA investigations into financing cases claim to have found a man involved in funding pro-freedom organizations through Bitcoin trade to fuel mass agitation in the territory.
On the other hand, Indian troops have launched massive cordon and search operations in various villages and areas of Kathua, Rajouri, and Poonch districts. During these operations, people are being harassed, interrogated, and pressured to become informers and provide information about the Mujahideen.
