Mirwaiz to highlight philosophy of Karbala on Wednesday
Srinagar: Senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Mirwaiz Umar Farooq will highlight the philosophy of Karbala and the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (RA) on Muharram 10 (Wednesday) at Astaan Aalia Alam Sahib, Narwara, Srinagar.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Anjuman Auqaf in a statement issued in Srinagar said the event is held as per tradition under the auspices of Anjuman Auqaf of Jamia Masjid, Srinagar, and Idara Local Auqaf Masjid Sharief Alam Sahib, Narwara.
It said Mirwaiz Umar Farooq will pay tribute to the martyrs of Karbala and urged the general public, men and women, especially the youth, to arrive at Alam Sahib, Narwara, ahead of time and participate in this special session of preaching and propagation.
