Hindutva goons destroy mosque, desecrate Quran in Maharashtra
Mumbai: In a disturbing incident, Hindutva goons vandalized a Masjid and attacked Muslims’ property in India’s Maharashtra state.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the incident occurred in Kolhapur district of Maharashtra when Hindutva goons attacked Raza Jamia Masjid, demolishing it completely, and burned the copies of the Holy Quran.
The attackers also targeted surrounding homes and shops. Indian media sources report that over 40 Muslims were injured in the assault.
Local Muslims have protested against in the incident.
Asaduddin Owaisi, president of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, strongly condemned the attack and demanded strict action against the perpetrators.
