Indian troops continue massive CASOs in IIOJK, civilians suffer
Srinagar: Indian troops continue massive cordon and search operations in various areas of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, causing significant disruption and distress to the local civilian population.
According to Kashmir Media Service, a massive search operation has now entered its sixth day in the dense forests of the Kastigarh area in Doda, with additional troops being deployed to intensify the operations.
An Indian police officer stated, “The forest belt in Kastigarh is under a tight security cordon. The area is mountainous and the forest is dense, making the operation both difficult and dangerous.” He mentioned that drones and helicopters have been pressed into service to assist the marching troops in the jungle. During this operation, numerous individuals have been arrested, heightening the sense of fear among the local residents.
The police official further revealed that extra forces, including para-commandos and Special Operations Group personnel, have been called in to expand the cordon in the area. Earlier on Tuesday, four Indian Army troops, including a Major-rank officer, were killed in an attack in Doda. Later, in another attack in the district, two troops were injured.
Meanwhile, Indian army, paramilitary, and police personnel continued search operations in different parts of Reasi, Kathua, Udhampur, Rajouri, Poonch, Kupwara, and Bandipora districts. These operations have severely impacted the daily lives of civilians, who face constant disruptions, restrictions, and the fear of being apprehended.
The increased Indian military presence and ongoing operations have led to significant hardships for the local population.
