Two BSF personnel die from heat exposure on Gujarat border
Ahmadabad: Two Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel, including an officer, have died while on duty along the India-Pakistan border in Gujarat.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Assistant Commandant of BSF and a head constable died due to extreme heat exposure during a patrol in the ‘Harami Nallah’ creek area along the border.
The two were conducting a ‘zero line’ patrol when they succumbed to heat stroke and dehydration, Indian officials said. Despite being rushed to a health facility in Bhuj, their lives could not be saved, they added.
