Tourist advised to avoid visiting north Kashmir amid ‘potential danger’
Srinagar: Indian occupation authorities have issued a stern warning to tourists from visiting in the Teetwal area of north Kashmir in occupied Jammu and Kashmir citing security concerns.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the advisory specifically mentions the Crossing Bridge, Domel near River Front, and Bathing Ghat as off-limits to tourists, both local and non-local, until further notice.
The Sub-District Magistrate (SDM) of Karnah has urged the public to cooperate and follow the advisories issued from time to time, stressing that the measures are in place for the welfare and safety of the general public.
While the authorities have not specified the nature of the potential danger, the advisory suggests that the locations may pose a risk to visitors. Tourists are advised to exercise caution and avoid the designated areas until the advisory is lifted.
The move comes as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of tourists in the region. The advisory will remain in force from July 22, 2024, until further orders.
