Signature campaign organized at NPC against Indian occupation of Kashmir
Islamabad: A signature campaign was organized under the auspices of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell and the Kashmir Committee of the National Press Club Islamabad.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the campaign was inaugurated by Federal Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, Engineer Amir Muqam at at the National Press Club Islamabad.
On this occasion, former Prime Ministers of Azad Kashmir, Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan, Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi, Convener of the Hurriyat Conference, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, former Advisor to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mushahid Hussain Syed, and others addressed the gathering. They condemned the illegal actions taken by the Indian government in occupied Jammu and Kashmir on August 5, 2019, and appealed to the international community to take notice of human rights violations in the occupied territory.
Federal Minister Engineer Amir Muqam said that no power can stop the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir from getting their right to self-determination. He commended the signature campaign, saying it aimed to convey a message to the world that the people of Kashmir reject India’s illegal occupation and its attempts to change the Muslim identity of Jammu and Kashmir.
