Raja Zafar-ul-Haq reaffirms support to Kashmiris’ just cause in APHC-AJK meeting
Islamabad: A delegation from the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter met with Raja Muhammad Zafar-ul-Haq, senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League (N) and Secretary General of Motamar Al-Alam Al-Islami, in Islamabad, today.
According to Kashmir Media Service, during the meeting, the delegation presented a detailed account of the dire situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), emphasizing the escalating human rights violations and the ongoing struggle for self-determination by the Kashmiri people.
The APHC-AJK team, led by General Secretary Advocate Parviaz Ahmed Shah and including Altaf Ahmed Bhat, Altaf Hussain Wani, Shaikh Abdul Majid, and Abdul Hamid Lone, highlighted the severe challenges faced by the Kashmiris, including intensified military operations and the suppression of political dissent.
Zafar-ul-Haq expressed profound concern over the situation in IIOJK and reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast support for the Kashmiri people’s just cause. He stressed the need for a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute, in alignment with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and United Nations resolutions.
Both parties underscored the critical need to enhance international awareness of the situation in IIOJK and called for increased diplomatic efforts to urge the Indian government to adhere to human rights and international law. The meeting concluded with a resolute commitment to continue advocating for Kashmiri rights and seeking justice and peace through diplomatic means.
