LAB, KDA threaten sustained agitation if demands not met

Leh: The Leh Apex Body (LAB) and Kargil Democratic Alliance (KDA) held a joint meeting in Leh, reiterating their demand for statehood and grant of political rights under the 6th Schedule.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the two bodies, representing various political, social, and religious organizations, have been spearheading an agitation in support of their four-point agenda since the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019.

The leaders warned New Delhi of launching a sustained agitation if there is no response. They emphasized that their demands.

The LAB and KDA Core Committee will meet again to decide the future course of action. Member of Parliament from Ladakh, Haji Hanifa Jan, assured that he will continue to highlight the demands of the people of Ladakh within and outside parliament.

The leaders emphasized their preference for resolving issues through talks, but are prepared to take the agitational path if the Modi government remains unresponsive.
