Indian CRPF officer commits suicide in Reasi
JammuJammu: An Indian Assistant Sub-Inspector of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has committed suicide in Reasi district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the 55-year-old CRPF Assistant Sub-Inspector Rajnath Prasad committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle inside a makeshift CRPF picket in the Katra area of the district.
The deceased, Rajnath Prasad resident of Bihar, India shot himself in the chest within a makeshift CRPF picket along the Tarakote route, enroute to the Vaishno Devi shrine in Katra, the police said.
The incident has raised the number of such deaths among Indian troops and police personnel to 617 in occupied Jammu and Kashmir since January 2007.
