APHC-AJK leaders pay tribute to Sopore martyrs
Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter Information Secretary Mushtaq Ahmed Butt and Zahid Safi paid glorious tributes to the martyrs of the Sopore massacre, stating that India could never suppress the spirit of freedom of Kashmiris through oppression.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Hurriyat leaders stated that the tragic massacres in Sopore, Gaw Kadal Srinagar, Handwara, and Kupwara in the month of January could not deter the people of Kashmir from their just struggle for the right to self-determination. They added that the Kashmir dispute has become a focal point of global attention due to the sacrifices made by the Kashmiri people.
The Hurriyat leaders expressed grave concern over the rising Indian state terrorism in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and urged the international community to take notice of the Indian crackdown on unarmed Kashmiris. They also said that the families of the massacre victims are still waiting for justice, which continues to be denied by the corrupt and state-run legal system, supported by an aggressive and fascist Indian government.
