Rissam raises demand for restoration of IIOJK’s status
Jammu: Sandeep Singh Rissam, Chairman of the IIOJK Congress Rajiv Gandhi Panchayati Raj Sangathan (RGPRS), has criticized the BJP-led occupation regime for failing to address the problems faced by the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, citing the lack of basic facilities like roads and electricity.
According to Kashmir Media Service, addressing a meeting in Jammu as part of the ongoing outreach program, Rissam emphasized the need to restore statehood to empower elected representatives, who have been made powerless by the Modi regime.
Rissam also expressed concern over rising unemployment, which he attributed to government inaction. He reiterated the demand for restoring statehood before conducting assembly elections, stressing its importance for empowering the people.
