78th Independence Day being celebrated with national enthusiasm across Pakistan
Islamabad: Pakistan is celebrating its 77th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and national spirit today.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the day began with special prayers for national development and unity after Fajr prayers, followed by gun salutes in federal and provincial capitals. A 31-gun salute was held in the federal capital Islamabad, while 21-gun salutes took place in provincial capitals.
Solemn ceremonies for the changing of the guards were held at the mausoleums of poet Allama Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in Karachi. Magnificent displays of lights and fireworks illuminated every corner of the country, with green flags waving everywhere.
An Independence Parade was organized at the Pakistan Military Academy Kakul, where cadets marched past. The flag will be unfurled at 12 am, followed by the national anthem, chants of “Pakistan Zindabad,” and a special tribute to the martyrs of the motherland.
The celebrations reflect the nation’s commitment to its founding principles and its resolve to build a prosperous and unified Pakistan.
