Pakistan's Support to Kashmir

Pakistan Army slams India’s oppression in IIOJK, pledges unwavering support for Kashmiris

Islamabad: The Pakistan Army has strongly condemned India’s ongoing oppression in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), calling New Delhi’s actions a blatant violation of international laws and turning the territory into a “hotbed of violence.”

According to Kashmir Media Service, speaking to the media in Rawalpindi, today, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said India was carrying out massive atrocities in IIOJK, and was killing innocent Kashmiris during illegal operations for the whole world to see. “India has turned occupied Kashmir into a hotbed of violence, and its blatant violations of international laws are evident to the world,” the ISPR DG remarked.

Lt Gen Chaudhry reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiris, emphasizing, “Our principal stance is to stand with the people of Jammu and Kashmir, and we will continue doing so.” He reiterated that Pakistan will continue to provide legal, diplomatic, and moral support to the people of IIOJK in their ongoing struggle for freedom.

The ISPR spokesperson also condemned India’s brutal tactics to suppress independence movements within its states, highlighting the oppressive measures against minorities, particularly Sikhs, both domestically and internationally. “India’s systematic genocide of minorities exposes its sinister agenda,” Lt Gen Chaudhry added, stressing that such actions are part of a larger conspiracy aimed at suppressing dissent. “The Indian government is openly employing state terrorism tactics, including the target killings of Sikhs,” he stated.

Drawing attention to India’s diversionary tactics, including false flag operations, Lt Gen Chaudhry pointed out that New Delhi was attempting to shift the focus away from its internal issues. “This year, the Indian government also carried out some false flag operations, intending to divert attention from its internal politics and tensions,” he said, adding that all information related to these false flag operations was spread through propaganda social media accounts linked to India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). “We are fully aware of India’s strategies,” he said, reaffirming that Pakistan’s military remains vigilant and prepared to defend national borders against any threats posed by India.

Addressing matters relating to the Line of Control (LoC) on the border with India, Gen Chaudhry stated: “In the current year, India carried out different ceasefire violations on a micro level several times. “These included 25 ceasefire violations, 564 speculative fires, 61 airspace violations, and 181 tactical airspace violations.” Despite these provocations, Lt Gen Chaudhry reassured the nation that Pakistan’s armed forces are resolute in their commitment to national security and public welfare. “At the LoC, the Pakistan Army possesses full ability to counter any aggression from India. This is also clear, that at any expense, for our integrity and self-determination, we are ready to render sacrifices at all times.”

Addressing regional security, the ISPR chief underscored Pakistan’s readiness to counter any aggression, stating, “The Pakistan Army is fully capable of delivering a decisive response to any hostility from India.”

In addition to its defense commitments, the Pakistan Army’s role in national development was also highlighted, with Lt Gen Chaudhry mentioning several welfare projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Balochistan. These initiatives, he said, demonstrate the military’s dedication to improving the lives of citizens and contributing to the country’s social and economic progress.
