IIOJK: Body of missing 9-year-old found in Tral orchards
Srinagar: The semi-decomposed body of a nine-year-old boy was discovered in the Tral area of Pulwama district, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the child identified as Idrees Jan Bajad had been missing since August 25, when he disappeared from Gujar Basti, Saimoh in Tral.
The body was found in a nearby forest and has been taken into police custody for further investigation, officials said, adding a forensic team is expected to examine the body to determine the cause of death. The missing report for Idrees was filed at the Tral police station on August 25, 2024. The circumstances surrounding the child’s death are currently under investigation, said the officials.
In a separate incident, a vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a gorge in the Chandimarh area of Poonch district, resulting in one fatality and injuries to eight others. The deceased has been identified as Yasir. The critically injured include Lal Hussain, Shahid Ahmed, Tariq (Driver), Zaffer Iqbal (23), Shanawaz Ahmed (25), Nissar Ahmed (22), Maqsood Ahmed (24), and Mukhtair Ahmed.
