Over 250 apple trees uprooted in Kulgam, farmer suffers massive loss
Srinagar: In a shocking act of sabotage, over 250 apple trees were uprooted from an orchard in the Chanser area of Kulgam district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the orchard owned by Abdul Khali Ittoo, a resident of Chanser, was vandalized by unidentified men in plainclothes under the cover of darkness.
Ittoo reported substantial financial losses due to the incident and expressed concern over the rising trend of orchard destruction in the region, jeopardizing the livelihood of the farming community.
It is pertinent to mention that the Indian army has previously been accused of similar acts, aimed at economically crippling the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
