Fresh mudslides in Ganderbal causes closure of Srinagar-Leh highway
Srinagar: The Srinagar-Leh highway was closed on Monday following fresh mudslides triggered by rainfall in the Kullan Gund area of Ganderbal district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, officials told the media that the highway was immediately shut down after the mudslides occurred today, completely blocking the route.
Restoration efforts are underway with men and machinery deployed to clear the debris, they said.
Additionally, the SSG road has also been blocked near Shah Mohalla Kullan and traffic has been rerouted through an alternative link road.
