APHC-AJK leaders applaud General Syed Asim Munir’s firm stance on Kashmir

Islamabad: Leaders of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter have expressed profound appreciation for the recent statement made by Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, General Syed Asim Munir, regarding the Kashmir dispute.

According to Kashmir Media Service, General Asim Munir delivered his remarks during the Defence and Martyrs Day ceremony at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi. “India’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir is not only a national problem but a regional and global problem,” he said. “We salute the freedom struggle of the Kashmiri people and maintain that the establishment of sustainable peace in South Asia lies in the solution of the Kashmir issue.” He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to providing continued moral, political, and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people until they achieve their self-determination.

APHC-AJK General Secretary, Advocate Pervez Shah, alongside senior leaders Mehmood Ahmed Saghar and Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, lauded General Asim Munir for his firm and resolute stance on Kashmir. They noted that his unwavering support has significantly uplifted the spirits of the Kashmiri people in their quest for self-determination. The leaders expressed gratitude for General Asim Munir’s steadfast commitment, which reaffirms Pakistan’s dedication to the Kashmir cause.

The APHC-AJK leaders highlighted that General Asim Munir’s emphasis on a peaceful resolution to the Kashmir dispute is crucial for achieving global peace. They stressed the importance of adhering to United Nations resolutions and addressing the legitimate aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

The leaders also commended the resilience and fortitude of the Kashmiri people in the face of ongoing Indian aggression and human rights abuses. They warned of the potential for nuclear conflict if the Kashmir dispute remains unresolved and called on the international community and the United Nations to act in line with UN resolutions to ensure regional stability.

The APHC-AJK leaders emphasized that while Pakistan remains committed to a peaceful resolution, the persistence of Indian obstinacy continues to exacerbate the conflict.
