IIOJK HC quashes PSA of one youth, upholds another
Srinagar: The High Court of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir has quashed the black law, Public Safety Act (PSA), of one peace and freedom-loving Kashmiri youth while upheld another one in the territory.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Justice Sanjay Dhar quashed PSA of Musavir Ahmad Butt of Srinagar with the directives to the authorities to release him.
The court upheld the PSA of another detainee, Imran Mushtaq of Pulwama district, who was detained on November 3, 2022.
The police case against the youth claimed that the detainee, Mushtaq, was a close associate of one martyred youth by Indian troops. With these reasons, the court upheld the PSA of the youth.
