Islamabad: The Indian establishment, dominated by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and Bharatiya Janata Party, is repeating its past practice of gaining political mileage through elections under its military and police establishment. This is done by creating a false narrative to regain lost popularity in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Kashmir Media Service citing political experts and analysts said, after losing its majority in parliamentary and assembly elections in most states, the BJP/RSS is attempting to capitalize on anti-Hurriyet and anti-Pakistan sentiments to misguide people through its proxies in the ongoing assembly election gathering in IIOJK.
The BJP’s strategy involves accusing local Kashmiri parties, including the Hurriyat camp and Pakistan, of supporting pro-freedom people. This tactic aims to secure over two dozen seats in the assembly election with the help of Indian agencies and the uniform establishment in IIOJK.
To achieve this, the BJP regime has transferred all bureaucratic, civil, and police officers from the Kashmir Valley and appointed BJP-RSS-minded officers in the territory. Additionally, Hindutva ideological-dominated Border Security Forces and other forces have been deployed in all police stations.
The Indian Central Armed Paramilitary Forces and Armed Police personnel have been deployed as part of the multi-tier security in the territory. During house operations, Indian police and military forces have arrested scores of peace and freedom-loving people in all towns and villages.
Over 5,000 people, including Hurriyet leaders such as Masarrat Aalam Butt, Muhammad Yasin Malik, and Shabbir Ahmad Shah, are currently in IIOJK and Indian jails.
Experts and leaders in IIOJK claim that the ground reality in occupied Jammu and Kashmir contradicts Indian authorities’ claims of peace and normalcy. Evidence suggests that Indian forces are spreading terrorism along the Line of Control to achieve political ambitions using false encounters and fake news.
