Education disrupted: Indian military occupies 61 schools in Baramulla district
Srinagar: At least 61 schools have been closed following their occupation by Indian forces’ personnel in Baramulla district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, significantly disrupting education in the district.
According to Kashmir Media Service, IIOJK authorities have ordered closure of multiple schools and educational institutions, which have been designated as camping sites for Indian forces’ personnel, including members of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police (JKAP) and Indian Reserve Police (IRP) .
This closure, which is effective from September 26 to October 02, is aimed at providing accommodation for the Indian forces personnel in the schools ahead of the 3rd phase of upcoming so-called Assembly election scheduled for October 01.
Schools identified as camping sites for this purpose include GDC Tangmarg, Pattan, Uri, Boniyar, Kreeri, SSM college Parihaspora, ITI Kralhar, Polytechnic college Kanispora, Neitherfield School, MET Sopore and SRM Welkin among others. KMS-R
