Two colleges, 7 schools of Tamil Nadu receive bomb threats
Chennai: Bomb threats have been made to two colleges and seven schools in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
According to Kashmir Media Service, two private colleges and seven schools in Tiruchirappalli district have received bomb threats through e-mail.
Apart from St. Joseph’s College and Holy Cross College in the district, Campan Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School, Samdha Higher Secondary School, Montfort, the schools, Acharya Shiksha Mandara School, Rajam Krishnamurthy Public School and Amrita Vidyalayam School received an email on Thursday morning threatening that a bomb blast could happen there anytime.
As soon as the bomb threat was received, the police along with the bomb disposal squad reached the said educational institution and searched, but no explosives were found.
The police suspected that the bomb threat was just a rumour.
The cyber crime wing of the police is tracing the sender of the email and has identified him as Swetha Balakrishnan.
