Indian forces’ personnel kill 30 people in Chhattisgarh

Raipur: Indian forces’ personnel killed around 30 people in violence-hit Chhattisgarh state.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian forces’ personnel killed around 30 people during a cordon and search operation in Bastar region on Friday, a senior police official said.

The joint operation was conducted by Indian army, paramilitary and commando forces in Abhujmad and Narayanpur-Dantewada inter-district against Naxalites, he added.

The Naxalites who are demanding independence from the Indian hegemony, have reportedly said that the Indian forces killed at least thirty people in a fake encounter in the name of anti-Naxalite operation.

A search operation was still underway in the area, the official added.

Meanwhile, earlier Indian forces also arrested seven Maoist in the Bijapur district.
