India has failed to subdue Kashmiris despite immense resources: Safi

Karachi: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK chapter, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, has said that India has failed miserably in subjugating Kashmiris despite its immense resources, and it is making false accusations against Pakistan to hide its failures.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Ghulam Mohammad Safi, speaking at an event organized in Karachi by Amir Ghafar Lone, a member of the Legislative Assembly of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, in honour of the APHC-AJK delegation, said India tries to link the right-based movement of Kashmiris with terrorism, while India itself is committing state terrorism, the evidence of which has been revealed at the international level.

He said as a result of terrorism, Canada has expelled the diplomatic staff of India. He added that those who sacrificed their lives in the path of freedom struggle have succeeded and it is the responsibility of the Kashmiri people not to forget the martyrs’ sacrifices.

Ghulam Mohammad Safi said, “We will not allow anyone to betray the great sacrifices of martyrs and will continue our struggle till we get freedom from Indian rule.”

The Hurriyat leader especially thanked the women present at the event and paid tribute to their love for occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Former president and prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan addressing the event said that he had made Kashmir freedom movement a part of his life and will ask everyone present in this event to take all possible steps to save the mothers and sisters of occupied Jammu and Kashmir from the oppressive India.

APHC-AJK General Secretary Advocate Parvez Ahmed in his address thanked the brothers and sisters of Jammu and Kashmir living in Karachi and said, “As long as you brothers and sisters remain with us, no power in the world can deprive Kashmiris of the blessing of freedom.

Earlier, Aamir Ghaffar Lone while welcoming the APHC-AJK delegation said, “Occupied Jammu and Kashmir is a part of our lives and its freedom is our first priority.” He said that they would not take rest until the freedom of the occupied territory.

Apart from other people, former adviser to the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Abdul Waheed Mir, Director of Karachi Arts Council Bashir Saduzai, General Secretary of Karachi Union of Journalists Sardar Liaquat, social worker Sardar Nazakat, Bashir Wani, Iqbal Kashmiri Syed Ejaz Ahmed, Abdul Hameed Lone and Sheikh Abdul Majid were present on the occasion.
