Modi eliminated freedom of speech in India: Kharge
Ranchi: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has said that Narendra Modi has eliminated the freedom of speech from India and is imprisoning those who speak out against his mistakes.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mallikarjun Kharge addressing a public meeting in Ormanjhi Ranchi said the Modi regime is snatching the fundamental rights of people by threatening everyone who raises his voice against the mistakes of the government.
He also criticized former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren, who defected from the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha to join the Bharatiya Janata Party, as a traitor, saying that there are many such individuals who betray those who nurtured them.
He warned the people of Jharkhand to be cautious, and said “Modi will betray you and hand over your ‘Jal, Jungle, Jameen’ (Water, Forests, Land) to industrialists.”
Mallikarjun Kharge added that Modi maintains silence when Dalits, tribals, and minorities are oppressed in the country.
He noted that the BJP is buying governments in states where they failed to win elections, citing Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Goa as examples.
The Congress leader raised concerns over wealth inequality in the country, claiming that 62% of the wealth is controlled by just 5% of the rich, while 50% of the population holds only 3% of the assets.
