Congress criticizes Modi govt over rapid rise in inflation, unemployment
New Delhi: The main opposition party in India, Congress, has strongly criticized the Modi government over the rising inflation and unemployment in the country.
According to Kashmir Media Service, senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said that the Modi government’s aim is not to solve problems like inflation and unemployment, but only to hide the truth by manipulating statistics.
He said that the government is ignoring the problems of the people and doing only statistic politics. He added that the people of the country were facing severe difficulties due to inflation and the price hike and the inflation rate is the highest in the last 14 months.
Jairam Ramesh said the government is only changing the statistics to show prices lower so that inflation can be shown to be reduced. He said in fact, due to the poor policies of the Modi government, the burden of inflation is continuously increasing on the people.
He said that the Modi government had also promised to provide two crore jobs to the people. However, he said that the government was trying to mislead the people by changing the figures to hide the increasing unemployment rate.
