Kashmir huddle urges economic sanctions on India over atrocities in IIOJK
London: The All Parties International Kashmir Coordination Committee through a resolution strongly condemning Indian atrocities in Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir calling for economic sanctions against India until it complies with United Nations resolutions on Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the resolution was passed during an online meeting held in connecion with Self-Determination Day. The meeting reaffirmed the committee’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people’s struggle for freedom and self-determination.
The meeting was chaired by Fahim Kayani, President of the Committee, and moderated by Secretary General Khawaja Inamul Haq. Prominent political, social, and religious leaders, including Hanif Raja MBE, Muhammad Raja Sikandar, Maulana Fazal Ahmad Qadri, Syed Zafar Hussain Shah, Muhammad Ayub Muslim, Ikram ul Haq Chaudhry, Shakeel Chaudhry, Ch Zahid Iqbal, Sarfaraz Qayyum, Zohaib Sadiq, Arif Mughal, Engineer Muhammad Yusuf, Nazir Johar, and others, participated in the session.
The participants discussed the Kashmiri people’s inalienable right to self-determination and paid tribute to their ongoing resistance against Indian occupation. They announced that Kashmir Solidarity Day would be observed on February 5, 2025, across the UK, with events and rallies planned to draw attention to the Kashmir issue and urge the international community to act.
The meeting concluded with a pledge to continue advocating for a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir conflict while standing firmly in solidarity with the oppressed people of IIOJK.
