BJP MLA threatens minorities in UP, claims chanting Hindutva slogans prerequisite for living in India
Lucknow: A BJP MLA from Uttar Pradesh state has threatened the Muslims and other minorities, asserting that chanting Hindutva slogans is a prerequisite for living in India.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mayankeshwar Sharan Singh, during Ram Katha event in Tiloi, asserted that anyone who wants to live in Hindustan, they must say ‘Radhe Radhe.’
In a video going viral on social media, Singh, standing on stage, is seen making this declaration, “Hindustan mein rehna hai to Radhe Radhe kehna hai.” which was echoed by his supporters and attendees, who responded in unison, chanting “Radhe Radhe kehna hai.”
Senior Samajwadi Party (SP) leader condemned the comments, stating that the BJP wants to disturb communal peace and harmony. He said that the MLA should be held accountable and sacked for such provocative statements.
Singh’s remarks reflect the growing atmosphere of religious intolerance under the current BJP-led government, with many expressing concerns over the marginalization of minorities and the increasing imposition of Hindutva ideologies across India.
